So the Government went into full shutdown mode, but thanks to literally everyone but Donald Trump, who was AWOL over the weekend, was bought a reprieve for at least another couple of weeks yesterday.  As awful and as stupid as all of this is, I also don’t think it’s surprising.  It was surprising when it happened under Obama’s watch, and Trump had plenty of blame to throw towards the office of the President for letting it happen. He claimed it was a President’s responsibility when this happened.  All during his campaign, Trump said that the government was in shambles and that he was “the only one that can fix it.”  Can’t argue with the result.
