Devin Nunes vs. His Cow

Nunes' Cow1

Devin Nunes, Republican Senator from California and all around lunatic blowhard has decided to sue Twitter and certain Twitter users because he thinks people are just too mean to him.  I mean, sure, it’s not problem for him to spearhead harassment campaigns to obstruct investigations and keep people from looking too hard at his fellow politicians, but as soon as someone who self identifies as Devin Nunes’s Cow starts pointing out his verbal garbage, that’s just a step too far!  The whole thing feels like a sham, and frankly, I think it’s all going to blow back in his face, but the man’s lack of grasp on hypocrisy is frankly alarming.  But given the administration he’s serving, I guess it’s not all that surprising.

Differing Opinions

In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, Rudy Giuliani said that Trump would have the executive privilege of not having to comply with a subpoena. He argued that it was his right as the President.  It was pointed out that someone rather prominent disagrees with him on a pretty fundamental level: Himself exactly 20 years ago, when he argued that Bill Clinton shouldn’t get special treatment because he’s the President.  He should have to go through the motions of a subpoena like any other citizen of this great country.  Rudy seems to be suffering from the same problem that Trump can’t get away from: The Internet has a VERY long memory, and loves to smell out the garbage.

Counter Sue

Counter Suit1

So the DNC is launching a big new lawsuit against Russia, Trump’s campaign and WikiLeaks.  It’s a great big mess of a lawsuit, and frankly, I have to wonder what will actually be uncovered through this, though they seem to have a sympathetic judge in their corner, a judge who has history prosecuting the whole Watergate debacle oh so long ago.  Trump’s grand plan to deal with this situation?  Counter sue! Of course.  It’s like his kneejerk reaction.  Though the stuff he claims he wants to uncover…doesn’t make sense.  Like the server he claims the DNC refused to give to the FBI, which is nonsense, because the DNC didn’t refuse cooperation with the Feds. The whole thing is weird.  But for me and my money, my question is….who does he expect to litigate this case for him?  Again, the dude can’t find a lawyer, and for a case that’s even less likely to yield a positive outcome, I can’t imagine he’ll have a ton of lawyers chomping at the bit.
