Let’s be honest. This whole Native American ancestry thing with Elizabeth Warren has gotten out of hand. I mean, it was out of hand the second Trump started calling Warren “Pocahontas”, as it was just insensitive and inappropriate. It got worse when he demanded she take a DNA test, but I’m honestly, Warren didn’t do herself or anyone else any favors by acquiescing. I know the idea was for her to shove the whole thing back in Trump’s face, but it was never going to work out that way. Trump would always lie about things he’s said, how he said them, and he would always move the line. And the end result is that no one looks good and the Native American communities end up feeling mocked. Now Lindsey Graham is talking about getting his own test to prove he’s more Native than Warren and it’s just…where does this stop? The only thing that Graham’s test is going to prove is that he’s an ass, and frankly I think most of us already knew that.

Two days before his summit with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Trump declared that the mainstream media would fake news the heck out of his meeting. He assured everyone that he would not be treated fairly. It was a good thing you could get the real, fair and balanced word on the situation from Fox News. If you wanted the real inside dope on Helsinki, Fox News wouldn’t steer you wrong. So what did Fox News have to say regarding Trump’s meeting? Abby Huntsman, one of the hosts of Fox and Friends, Trump’s favorite show, said that he was “throwing his own people under the bus”. Brian Kilmeade, another host of the show said his rhetoric was “ridiculous”. In fact, all across the network, Fox News was breaking ranks to voice their dissent, that is until you get to Prime Time editorial shows. Sean Hannity was sure to try and spin this the best way he could, by bringing Trump on to clarify the things he said, but even Hannity could hide his obvious discomfort at some of the things Trump was saying that night. Trump may have tried to backtrack on his positions the next day, but you can’t stuff that monster back in it’s box.

One of the hosts of Fox and Friends called Donald Trump a dictator, and I could not be more tickled about it. Seriously, I’ve watched the clip like 4 times, and I laughed equally hard every time. The only big shame is that the camera wasn’t on Abby Huntsman or any of the other jackasses, including Anthony “the Mooch” Scaramucci, at the time, so I couldn’t see them look deer in headlines. That would have been television magic on par with the moon landing. Huntsman later went on to clarify that it was just a slip of the tongue in the moment on Live TV. I’d like to offer an alternative explanation: She said what she thought was true at the time and had to be corrected later. I can’t prove that, but I think we all know it’s the truth in our heart of hearts.

So, Friday’s amazing Fox and Friends rant was pretty great. Even the Friends of Fox and Friends were caught off guard by it. They all looked deeply uncomfortable by the whole thing by the end, and as it was pointed out by just about everyone, you could absolutely tell that they could not wait for it to be over. So it was to everyone’s surprise when Kellyanne Conway announced over the weekend that Trump enjoyed the experience so much, and he thought it was so beneficial, that he was going to do it once a month! And the friend, well they were just speechless! I’m assuming speechless with unbridled joy and not with frustration, fear, anxiety and a little bit of dread. Because that was kind of what it looked like when Kellyanne dropped that bomb with just her most bubbly tone.
